Proemigra Company – review of obtaining Bulgarian citizenship

I sat down to write about Proemigra, and I got a review that didn’t fit. I decided to try myself as a writer. Don’t judge me harshly, I’m new to this business. But the work of Proemigra’s lawyers was really inspiring.

First of all, I hope the review will be useful to those who are currently looking for a company. Secondly, I’m going to tell you everything as it was. And yes, don’t be surprised that I’m writing about a law firm. Who would have thought. But let me finish, I think by the end of the story it will become clear why I am so pleased.

Why did I decide to contact Proemigra

When I decided to apply for citizenship, I didn’t know about Proemigra. I searched for lawyers in the most usual way — I read reviews, compared websites, studied the conditions.

Either the services were not suitable, or the terms of cooperation. Somewhere they promised some fabulous deadlines, which immediately raised doubts. There didn’t seem to be anything critical, but there was always a feeling that something was missing.

Then I came across reviews about Proemigra. The first thing I noted was that they were positive, but not alarming. In some cases, people calmly wrote that they were unhappy with something, but it was about such little things that didn’t matter to me personally.

After that, I went to the website proemigra.com . I saw that the company is working with repatriation programs in five countries at once.

I was specifically looking for a narrow specialization. Many companies dealt only with Bulgaria and Romania. I wish there were more options. My relatives have a pretty colorful family history, so the roots could be anywhere.

So in the end I settled on the company Proemigra.

You’re probably going to laugh now. I wrote above that I was specifically looking for a company with several programs, but in the end I turned out to have Bulgarian roots. But it was calmer to realize that there was a choice.

Let’s rewind a bit.

The first consultation was free of charge. To be honest, I set myself up in advance for a boring conversation with a bunch of incomprehensible terms. I thought I was going to ask the same thing ten times.

Everything turned out to be wrong. The first thing the lawyer asked me was how much time I had and whether it was convenient to discuss it in more detail now. I practically did not prepare for the consultation. I didn’t understand what questions to ask or how to properly talk about the whole procedure. Therefore, the lawyer conducted the entire conversation. He asked questions, and I answered.

And it was an easy conversation.

At the same time, it felt like you were talking to a professional, but without any unnecessary officiousness. It didn’t feel like there was a super-serious person sitting on the other side of the screen who spoke exclusively in legal terms. On the contrary, pleasant communication.

It felt like the answers were alive. Not according to a memorized script.

They asked me about my family, why I want citizenship, why I’m planning to move, and what plans I have next. There were a lot of questions. I didn’t think there could be so many of them.

At the end of the conversation, they immediately explained the approximate plan of further actions.

And interestingly, I was the first to talk about the beginning of cooperation. The lawyers said that they would first analyze the documents, and then they would give an optimal plan of action and it would be possible to start work.

He said that he would like to work with the company already and is ready to sign the agreement. The lawyer suggested reading the contract first and waiting for the analysis to be done. They sent me the contract so that I could read it calmly, ask questions and not waste time.

The contract turned out to be quite ordinary. Not ten volumes in small print, but a clear document written in normal human language.

I had practically no questions. I liked that the guarantees were written there. I liked that they immediately named approximate real dates. Up to three years, while separately explaining that much depends on government agencies, not just lawyers.

We have agreed on a second consultation. However, there was no free time on the same day. They said there’s a lot of traffic right now. If the issue is urgent, they will try to find time in the evening after work, if not, it is better to call in a couple of days.

At the second consultation, the whole process was already analyzed in detail. They told us what stages are ahead, how long each of them takes approximately. We didn’t just write: we are collecting documents.

They reported that they had already found which documents remained, showed archival materials, explained why each document was needed and what role it played in the case. When the dossier was ready, they said that it was possible to proceed to the next stage.

There were no unnecessary problems. The company handled everything. They only informed me when the next stages were going through and what was happening with the case. The process wasit was built in such a way that a minimum of participation was required from me.

When the case was expected to be released in court, the lawyers wrote regularly. They not only talked about the status of the case, but also simply asked how I was doing. I told them that I was preparing to move, that I was transferring my business.

I was asked if I needed additional advice, if there were any questions about life after obtaining citizenship. And these are the things that are most memorable.

Because you don’t expect such an attitude from a law firm. It can be seen that Proemigra has been working for twenty years for a reason. By the way, while I was choosing a company, I saw reviews about Proemigra with comments. For example, someone wrote that they used to have to wait for a response.

In my experience, I can say that these points have been improved. Yes, sometimes you really need to wait a little bit for a consultation. There’s a lot of demand now, that’s understandable. But I’ve never had to sit without an answer.

As soon as the case came out in the order, they immediately reported it. They congratulated me and explained that all that remained was to issue the internal documents.

And you know, from what I’ve told you, it might seem like the whole procedure is pretty simple. No. It’s huge.

Just searching for documents is a huge job. Then the archives, proof of origin, preparation of the entire package of documents. It is difficult to complete the registration process on your own. It’s just that the company made it so that, as a customer, I didn’t feel this difficulty.

A separate review of the Proemigra service

I would like to mention the service separately. The process was completely remote. This was the main condition from the very beginning. I said right away that I didn’t want to go anywhere. They replied that this was a common practice for the company. Not everyone has the opportunity to come to the office, even if the person lives in the same city.

The remote format did not affect the quality of the work in any way. On the contrary, it turned out to be more convenient. There was no feeling that something was missing or that the service was worse due to the deleted format.

They answered outside of business hours. Once there was a difference of almost six hours between us, but the lawyers adjusted. When I warned that I would be unavailable during the day, I wrote late in the evening at my own time, so that messages would arrive when it was convenient for me.

Care was felt throughout the procedure. Exactly the concern. Therefore, trust in the company appeared quickly.

Now, when friends ask if I can recommend someone, I undoubtedly name the company Proemigra. The impressions after the collaboration were extremely pleasant. He received citizenship without practically diving into the procedure.

Bulgarian coast

I was calmly doing business, preparing for the move, solving business issues and was sure that everything would work out. If he had been processing the documents on his own or constantly doubted the lawyers, preparations for the move would have to be postponed until the very end of the procedure.

As it was, time passed in parallel. I issued my passport, the lawyers congratulated me, explained that I could safely enjoy the rights of an EU citizen, and I just started a new chapter in my life.
