Yapraklı Koy Plajı Beach is a small rocky bay in the city of Atakent, 60 km from the center of Mersin. It borders Susanoğlu beach. It is a cozy rocky bay, along the shores of which there are four cascading beach areas with sun beds and umbrellas – municipal and private.

In my opinion, this is the best place for swimming within a radius of 100 km from the city of Mersin. There is usually a clean sea, clear water, a lot of vacationers, there is an opportunity to jump into the water from a height, there are protective buoys, and there is also all the infrastructure for a beach holiday. And you can get here by minibus from Mersin.
You should know that there is no entrance fee to the Bay of Yaprakly. It’s free. If desired, you can rent a sun lounger on one of the beaches, in the summer-2023 season prices range from 200 to 400 lira. There are free swimming areas on both sides of the bay.
There are four main beaches in Yapraklı Koy:
Municipal beach (No.1)
The main municipal (paid), with blue sun beds. It is convenient to accommodate vacationers with young children and those who do not know how to swim, as you can enter the water from shallow water. Cold springs are beating in the water, so sometimes you can stumble upon cold areas. Sun loungers here cost 200 liras. There is no security here, you need to keep an eye on things.

Yellow Beach(No.2)
Yellow beach (paid) – here the deck chairs cost 200 lira and are very close to each other. The staff helps to find a free chaise longue. The prices for drinks are quite high – for example, a can of Cola is 50 lire. There are 2 stairs leading to the water. Jumping from above into the water is not allowed. Due to the high location of the beach above the water (about 2.5 meters) and the high density of sun beds, it is very difficult to keep track of your belongings from the water.

Blue and white beach (No.3)
The blue and white beach with large umbrellas (paid) is located on the edge of the bay, behind the “yellow” beach. For me personally, this is the most convenient and favorite beach. There are not so many sun beds here; there are several “islands”, with sun beds for 400 lira, where you can retire with a company. The usual deck chairs here also cost 200 liras. There are several places from where you can jump into the water, including one at a three-meter height. Security guards are constantly walking around, chasing strangers off the beach. Music is constantly playing, there is a DJ. There are tables where you can sit for a drink and eat.

Free extreme beach (No.4)
The most extreme one is free. It is a rocky-concrete plot, with a wooden deck by the water and a staircase to the sea. There are no sun beds or umbrellas here, so you need to come with your own, or after 17 o’clock, otherwise you will roast in the sun. Locals come here with tents, umbrellas and chairs. Usually vacationers arrive here from 16 o’clock and swim until dark. You will not be able to lie down and sunbathe on this beach, as there are usually a lot of people and it is crowded.
